Jewelry Trends at New York Fashion Week

Long necklaces remained popular this year, and were often worn in stacks. Pendants were hot, too, among both the women and the men who attended the ceremonies -- and I love it that the guys actually wear jewelry that's visible (versus cufflinks that we can't see under a tux jacket). Taylor Lautner wore two pendants on long chains, one a dog tag and the other in the shape of a shark's tooth, and a dog tag also hung from Justin Bieber's neck . Pixie Lott wore a trendy Scrabble-piece ring, while Miranda Cosgrove and Gage Golightly slipped on rings with a more traditional cocktail look. Nikki Reed's bracelets were a personal favorite, and Ariel Winter's petite diamond hair bow perfectly suited her fresh appearance.

New York Fashion Week - 2010

Bold, colorful, layered... all three words can be used to describe a large percentage of the jewelry seen around the tents at Bryant Park during this month's New York Fashion Week. Celebrity fashion-goers, like Mariska Hargitay and Tori Spelling, favored chunky necklaces, and flashy pieces were visible on the runway, too.

These chunky cane slices contain some beautiful purples and reds to simulate the Klimt pattern. There are several sizes and shapes available in this color series and pattern. Matching pendents and customized creations are available as well.

These really look like stones, but have the lightness of ploymer clay. There are a variety of colors  to choose from. All are unique. Look for stone bracelets and necklaces to coordinate.

These heart shapes were made with a cane that resembles the noted artist Gustav Klimt. Different colored clays were extruded and assembled into a log which was then sliced.  The colors in blues and greens with a touch of pink would go very nicely with jeans or a blue suit. This series comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Also, check out the coordinating pendents.
